An AirPlay audio symbol identifies an audio route; it does not by itself prove video streaming or full-screen mirroring support. Check the actual feature you intend to use.
Select the operation you need
For supported video, use the AirPlay control in the video app and choose the television or receiver. For mirroring, use Screen Mirroring in Control Center and select the destination. Mirroring shows the device interface rather than only the selected programme.
Use a compatible receiver and follow its requirements. Apple’s consumer instructions place the iPhone or iPad and receiver on the same Wi-Fi network for the documented workflow. A passcode shown by the TV is a local connection prompt, not a Dream 4K account password.
App support remains a separate condition
If the device can mirror its Home screen, that does not establish that every app permits its video to use AirPlay. Apple explicitly notes that some video apps do not support the feature. Check the player’s own documentation and native TV alternative where available.
A receiver listed for AirPlay audio is also not automatically a video display. Look at the receiver’s actual specification, not only a badge or familiar icon.
Use a clear support description
State whether the failure concerns receiver discovery, screen mirroring, video playback or audio routing. Include the sending device, operating system, app and receiving television or box. This avoids treating four different controls as one connection problem.
If using Dream 4K, first confirm a supported player and account method. Keep service authorization separate from the AirPlay connection. Stop sharing when finished, and consider what notifications or private text can appear if you choose full-screen mirroring on a shared television.
