It appears at WorldSBK meetings but has its own riders, qualifying and races. The event umbrella and the specific class are different identities.
The 2026 programme normally places WorldSSP Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday. A WorldSBK event guide can therefore contain WorldSSP, WorldSBK and other classes without their results belonging to one shared championship table.
Superpole is a qualifying session
The WorldSSP Superpole listing identifies qualifying. It should not be renamed a race simply because Superpole Race also appears elsewhere on the weekend programme. The full phrase and class determine the session’s role.
WorldSBK’s Superpole Race is another contest
The short Sunday WorldSBK Superpole Race belongs to the Superbike class. It is not a third WorldSSP race inserted between the Supersport programme’s two main races. Similar words require the class label to remain attached.
Race 1 and Race 2 have separate results
A rider’s Saturday finish does not simply continue as a running aggregate into Sunday. Each named race is its own classified contest. A highlights show combining both can discuss the rider’s weekend while preserving the two finishing orders.
Programme order is a standard, not a universal timetable
The FIM’s 2026 schedule establishes a clearer class sequence while allowing event-specific adjustments. The current round’s official programme supplies the exact order. A class summary should not manufacture identical local start times for every venue.
| Listing | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| WorldSSP Superpole | Supersport qualifying |
| WorldSSP Race 1 / 2 | Separate Supersport races |
| WorldSBK Superpole Race | A Superbike race |
| WorldWCR / WorldSPB | Other event classes |
Use the class in a saved title
WorldSSP, round, season and race number identify the programme more reliably than WorldSBK weekend alone. This is particularly useful for an event finale, where several championships can conclude on the same circuit and day without sharing a title.
