Choose the base and sport access separatelyCurrent UHD rules include a dated exceptionInterpret access messages before changing the planStan’s Australian product combines a base entertainment plan with an optional Sport add-on. The base plan’s features and the sport entitlement are separate parts of the account. A film playing successfully does not establish that a live sports event is unlocked.
Choose the base and sport access separately
Stan’s current plan table distinguishes base features such as screens, downloads and maximum picture format. Its Sport signup help says a base subscription is required for the add-on. Inspect the actual account before treating a sports tile as included in every entertainment membership.
A hypothetical household may want entertainment only for one month and sport later. Keep both components and their billing terms visible so removing one is a deliberate product choice rather than a reaction to a player message.
Current UHD rules include a dated exception
Stan’s current Standard notice distinguishes customers who added Sport before 1 July 2026 from later additions. It describes a retained Sport UHD benefit for qualifying Standard customers and says removing and adding Sport again cannot restore that benefit; newer qualifying UHD access depends on the Premium base plan.
This is a specific account-history condition, not a general guarantee for all Standard accounts. Check the current notice and actual subscription history before copying another viewer’s picture-quality expectation.
Interpret access messages before changing the plan
Stan identifies C9 as a missing active Sport add-on. That is different from an unlocked event playing below the expected format. Record the exact message and account components before changing the base plan or troubleshooting display settings.
For a household guide, note the base plan, Sport status, relevant account-history condition and the event being checked. Then use current supported-device and title information for the expected format. A plan maximum alone does not establish every event’s delivered quality.
If considering a cancellation or re-add, read the dated benefit notice first. Preserve the confirmation of any change and compare the resulting account features rather than assume every old entitlement automatically returns with a new purchase.
