A national news feed, a state’s television stream and an individual episode are different viewing entries. Use the one that matches the programme you want.
Use a programme page for a selected episode
Search the exact title and choose the intended season or episode in the offered collection. A programme recommendation is a discovery route, while the individual page identifies the actual item. Keep its title and publication context if returning to a report later.
A hypothetical viewer who wants yesterday’s interview should save that item rather than only the live channel. Reopening a channel tomorrow follows tomorrow’s schedule; it does not preserve the interview that happened to be on when the bookmark was created.
Choose the state for a local bulletin
ABC’s current live guide lists state-based variations of ABC TV and explains selecting the state stream for a scheduled local news bulletin. Keep the state and broadcast time together. ABC NEWS provides a national service, which answers a different requirement from a particular state’s local bulletin.
The same guide identifies ABC Family, ABC Kids and ABC Entertains streams as following the NSW programme schedule. A viewer planning those channels from another state should read the actual guide rather than assume every stream follows the device’s local clock.
Keep live and selected playback expectations separate
ABC explains that its live programme order follows the broadcast schedule and that some broadcast material may lack online rights. A television listing alone is therefore not proof that every segment will appear identically online. Use the current stream and actual programme offer.
For a household viewing note, record the title or channel, state if relevant, date and intended mode. If the issue is finding a local bulletin, investigate the state selection; if a listed episode fails, preserve that episode and the exact message.
The domestic live guidance and the separately cleared overseas collection have different scopes. When watching outside Australia, use ABC’s official international collection and overseas help rather than infer access to all domestic channels from the existence of an account.
