Kayo Sports: event streams, Freebies and SplitView

Separate Kayo’s selected free events, paid access and the multiple-video layout available on supported devices.

Kayo Sports organises live and on-demand sport and offers selected free viewing alongside paid access. Its SplitView feature can place multiple eligible videos on one display. Event entitlement, simultaneous device use and the number of visible tiles are different product questions.

Find the exact event and offer

Confirm the event, date and current Kayo listing. The provider’s Freebies help describes selected free content rather than the entire paid catalogue. A free highlight or event should not be used as evidence that every fixture in a competition is included without payment.

A hypothetical fan planning several simultaneous matches should first establish which events are actually available under the current account. A layout feature cannot create access to a locked programme.

SplitView is a display feature

Kayo’s guide describes up to four videos on one screen, with available layouts depending on the device. This is distinct from the number of separate devices allowed by the subscription. Read the active plan’s allowance and the feature’s compatibility table separately.

For a hypothetical sports afternoon, a viewer might prefer several tiles on one supported screen, while another household needs separate full-screen televisions. Those are different requirements even if the same events are involved.

General app support does not establish every feature

Kayo’s device guidance explicitly notes that a supported device can lack particular functions, including SplitView. Inspect the feature-specific matrix rather than assume that installing the app proves multi-view support. Casting routes can also differ from direct playback.

If the layout option is missing, record the actual device and playback route before treating it as a subscription problem. Browser playback, a native TV app and a cast session are not automatically equivalent.

Keep the event offer, selected plan, intended screen and desired feature together in a viewing note. Use current Kayo help for exact models and formats; a maximum video count or picture format belongs to the documented device and content conditions, not every screen carrying the brand.
