Kayo SplitView tiles are not the same as separate viewing devices

Check the one-screen layout, active subscription and feature-specific compatibility as three separate requirements.

Kayo SplitView can show several eligible videos on one screen, but that does not describe how many separate devices an account can use. It also does not mean every device that plays Kayo supports the same layout. Identify the viewing pattern before choosing or troubleshooting the feature.

Describe the sports afternoon you want

Write down the events and whether you want them as tiles on one display or as full-screen viewing on separate devices. Kayo’s SplitView guide describes a multi-video layout on one screen; the subscription’s device allowance answers a different question.

For an explicitly hypothetical example, watching three matches as tiles on one supported display is a different requirement from three people opening three separate televisions. Do not transfer the feature’s maximum tile count into the account’s simultaneous-device limit.

Confirm event entitlement first

Find the actual events under the intended account. Kayo offers selected Freebies as well as paid Full Access, so a free clip or programme is not proof that every desired match is unlocked. Identify the current offer before experimenting with the layout.

If one event remains locked, SplitView is not the place to solve its entitlement. Compare the event’s offer with the active product and retain the exact message if help is needed.

Use the feature-specific compatibility table

Kayo’s current SplitView guide says the number of video tiles depends on the device and lists unsupported routes. Its general device page also warns that features differ. A device can therefore be supported for ordinary playback while lacking the desired multi-view function.

Check the actual model and direct/cast route. Do not assume a casting destination inherits the capabilities of the browser or phone that started the session.

Build the layout using the current player

The official guide describes choosing videos through the SplitView control and adjusting the layout where supported. Follow that current interface for the screen in use. If the option is absent, preserve the route and device details rather than assume the account needs another purchase.

A hypothetical comparison can use one unlocked event in ordinary playback, then inspect whether the feature control appears on that same device. This separates basic delivery from the missing layout without changing several settings at once.

Account for several delivered videos

Multiple tiles mean several videos are being delivered, so use Kayo’s own data guidance when a connection or data allowance matters. Its estimates are planning information, not a physical measurement of your session. If performance differs, reduce the test to one known event and report the device, route, tile count and observation.
