TiVo’s own product explanation identifies Google Play, Google Assistant and casting as parts of that platform. Use the Stream 4K support category when setting up its applications.
TiVo also names DVR products and a separate TiVo OS smart TV platform. A shared TiVo logo does not make their installation menus or app packages interchangeable.
Know which screen owns the app
On Stream 4K, a television player belongs to the Android TV application environment. TiVo’s discovery experience can bring information from different services together, but it does not turn those services into one subscription.
Search for the chosen player through the available Google Play route and inspect the listing. Current regional and device eligibility still apply. Do not interpret a general claim about access to Android TV apps as confirmation that a specific Dream build is supported.
Discovery is different from provider authorization
A watch list or cross-app search result can lead into a separate application. That destination may need its own account or purchase. Keep the app that actually starts playback in view when describing a sign-in problem.
For an IPTV setup, confirm the exact app and the input it accepts. A provider portal, playlist URL and native streaming-service login are different things. A TiVo activation or Google Account does not supply those credentials.
Casting and direct app use have different controls
TiVo describes casting from supported mobile apps to Stream 4K. That route depends on the sender application and receiver being compatible. It is distinct from opening a player directly with the TiVo remote.
Choose the workflow that fits the intended use, then follow its prerequisites. For direct use, check remote navigation through account fields and playback menus. For casting, start with a Cast-enabled sender and the appropriate local network. Neither route proves the resolution or audio format of an individual stream.
Keep existing-owner support specific
Record Stream 4K, its installed system version and the player name. If a support page is about a TiVo DVR, tuner setup or TiVo OS television, switch to the Stream 4K category before following it. That model distinction is more useful than changing unrelated TV settings.
