Record the observation honestlyConnect intervening movementsUse a clearly hypothetical comparisonEscalate the specific gapA credit balance is an observation at a point in time. A screenshot from yesterday may not describe what is available after today’s actions. Record the source and time so a later reviewer can reconcile the snapshot with confirmed movements rather than treat every image as current.
Record the observation honestly
Keep the provider account reference, displayed quantity and capture time with the time zone if known. If the source gives only a date, do not invent a timestamp. Mask sensitive account values before sharing a copy with a colleague who only needs the balance context.
Connect intervening movements
List confirmed recharges, deductions and adjustments after the snapshot. Keep pending actions outside a confirmed closing balance. If another staff member was active during the period, obtain the relevant references before concluding that the provider display is wrong.
| Snapshot field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Account reference | Identify the observed account privately |
| Quantity | Preserve the displayed value |
| Observation time | Define the point in the sequence |
| Later movements | Explain changes after the observation |
| Pending items | Show what is not yet confirmed |
Use a clearly hypothetical comparison
Suppose a made-up opening snapshot is 100 credits and a confirmed 120-credit recharge follows. Before any confirmed deductions, the arithmetic expectation is 220. If later deductions exist, include their actual quantities. This example explains timing and is not a Dream consumption rule or real balance observation.
Escalate the specific gap
If the movement trail still does not explain the latest result, ask the provider about the relevant account and period. Preserve both observations and the references. Do not overwrite the older screenshot or invent an adjustment solely to force agreement.
Questions about this guide
Does the newest screenshot always settle the discrepancy?
It shows the latest observation you captured, but it may not explain how the balance changed. Keep the movement references and any provider clarification. A current total and a traceable explanation serve different purposes.
