Use credit quantities in the quantity columns and money in separate purchase columns. Do not insert subscription months, customer cash or a guessed credit conversion into the balance calculation.
Define the balance equation
For a period, recorded closing credits equal opening credits plus confirmed recharges plus confirmed positive adjustments minus confirmed deductions. A deduction should refer to an identifiable action and the actual quantity shown or confirmed by the provider. Keep pending items outside the confirmed balance until their status is resolved.
Use an explicitly hypothetical example
The following example illustrates the ledger structure only. Its deductions and adjustments are invented numbers, not Dream credit consumption or adjustment policies.
| Movement | Credit change | Running credits |
|---|---|---|
| Opening snapshot | — | 100 |
| Confirmed recharge | +120 | 220 |
| Confirmed action A | −30 | 190 |
| Confirmed action B | −10 | 180 |
| Confirmed correction | +5 | 185 |
Attach a reference to each movement
Record the date, relevant time zone, action type, source reference and person who entered the movement. Use a customer or order reference that does not expose a password. Keep the package receipt as money evidence and the provider’s resulting balance or action confirmation as quantity evidence. These two records may arrive at different times.
Investigate differences rather than rewriting history
If the provider display and ledger disagree, compare the opening snapshot, pending actions and duplicate entries. Add an explained correction when confirmed; do not silently edit an old row to force agreement. A ledger is useful because it preserves the reason for each change. It does not promise that the provider offers a particular transaction-export or adjustment feature.
Questions about this guide
Should an unconfirmed payment immediately increase available credits?
No. Record the payment status separately from the confirmed credit movement. Ask the provider to reconcile the order and resulting quantity. A payment message or pending transfer is not itself proof that a credit balance changed.
