On Google TV, search for the exact player on the television and inspect its listing before installing it. Google documents both home-screen search and browsing through the Apps tab. Use the native TV listing so the installation applies to that device.

Have the player name and developer to hand. A search result with a similar icon can be a different application with different activation and account fields.

Identify the player before pressing Install

Compare the listing’s publisher with the developer’s own information or the specific app named by support. Read any displayed price and in-app terms. A player payment can buy software features without including television service.

If you already have Dream 4K credentials, establish which app they were issued for. A portal-oriented account and a player expecting separate server, username and password fields should not be treated as interchangeable.

Use the native search route

From the Google TV Home screen, choose Search or press the Assistant button on the remote.
Enter or say the exact app name.
Open the result and review the application identity and requirements.
If it is the intended available app, select Install and follow any store prompts.
Alternatively, browse the Apps tab, select the app and follow the displayed installation or purchase instructions.

Check the result before entering private details

Open the installed app and inspect its sign-in choices. Confirm that the remote can reach each field and that the account method matches the details you have. If the app asks for something different, stop and obtain the correct instructions rather than trying private credentials in unrelated fields.

The useful result is a known app opening on the intended television with a matching setup method. Installing several similar players at once makes it harder to identify which app is asking for activation or payment.

If the app is absent from search

Record the TV or streaming-box model, system version, country and exact app name. Availability can depend on the developer’s supported platforms and the store listing for that device. A mobile app appearing on a phone does not prove a TV edition is available.

Ask the developer or Dream 4K support for a confirmed alternative appropriate to those details. Do not use an Android download merely because its filename resembles the missing app; the package still needs suitable platform, interface and account support. Keep the installed app name in your setup note so later update guidance refers to the same product.
