On a supported Samsung Smart TV, use Home > Apps > Search to find the intended player, then select its listing and Install. Samsung says only applications available in the TV’s own app store can be installed natively.

Confirm the full app name and publisher before paying an independent activation charge. An Android player for a Galaxy phone is a different product from a Tizen TV app.

Prepare the native TV account

Samsung’s current guidance requires a Samsung Account for network-based smart services. Complete the platform sign-in through Samsung’s supported route, then search the store on the actual television.

The Samsung Account is not the player’s service account. Keep it separate from any player activation and Dream 4K credentials. A successful store sign-in establishes access to platform features, not programme entitlement.

Install the intended listing

Press Home and choose Apps.
Open Search in the Apps interface.
Search the exact player name and inspect the result.
Check the app identity and requirements, then choose Install if it is the intended supported app.
Return to Home or Apps and open the application.

Keep the shortcut easy to find

Samsung documents Add to Home through the app settings for adding an installed app to the Home menu. If an app is absent from the Home row, first check the Apps area before assuming it has been deleted.

Removing a Home shortcut and deleting an app are different actions. A simpler Home row does not need to erase an application or remove its account data.

Choose automatic app maintenance

Samsung’s documented control is Home > Apps > App Settings > Auto Update. Set it on if you want supported app updates managed automatically. TV firmware updates use the separate Support > Software Update route.

After opening the player, confirm the visible account method before entering private data. If the player asks for activation or payment, establish what that charge covers and who supplies it. Do not infer that a TV app purchase includes Dream 4K.

If the app is missing from search, record the complete TV model, country, software and intended publisher. Ask for a confirmed native listing or another suitable device route. Downloading an APK does not extend the Samsung store’s application support, and a familiar icon does not establish that the account fields will match.
