Its Season 5 structure contains six teams and 34 matches across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
The edition number is useful because the competition’s calendar window has moved. Season 4 concluded in January 2026, while Season 5 belongs to a later 2026 programme. A calendar year alone can therefore contain material from two editions.
Five opponents played home and away
Each team has ten league matches in a double round robin. Six teams multiplied by ten appearances, divided by two, gives thirty league fixtures. The top four then progress to the playoff stage.
The top pair take Qualifier 1
First and second meet for a direct place in the Final. The loser receives another chance in Qualifier 2. Third and fourth instead contest the Eliminator, where defeat ends their route.
Qualifier 2 completes the final field
The Qualifier 1 loser meets the Eliminator winner. The winner advances to face the Qualifier 1 winner in the Final. Four playoff matches added to thirty league fixtures produce the edition’s 34-match total.
Club city and ground are different identifiers
The competition uses several UAE grounds. A franchise’s name does not establish the venue of every match in a centrally organised programme. Read the fixture’s ground alongside its designated home and away teams.
Use season number before inferring chronology
A recording labelled ILT20 2026 needs an edition or date to distinguish the end of Season 4 from Season 5. The actual participant list and route belong to that edition, not to every event in the same year.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Season 5 | Competition edition |
| Round-robin match | League points contest |
| Qualifier or Eliminator | Playoff route |
| Venue | Physical UAE ground |

A published structural guide can remain useful while the table changes after each game. This reference explains the supported format rather than treating an interim table or homepage example as a completed Season 5 result.
