Its current terms use names including Basic, Premium, Premium Werbefrei, Musik and Live-Only. Older comparisons that centre on a Max package should not be treated as the current feature table without checking the actual offer.
Choose the content mode first
The current terms distinguish the on-demand collection, live channels and additional audio benefits. Start with an exact programme, live station or audio requirement, then inspect the relevant package. A common RTL brand does not make every mode a feature of the smallest paid offer.
A hypothetical viewer interested in a replay has a different requirement from someone who needs the channel as it airs. Keep the selected playback mode with the title or station when comparing products.
Read the ad-free exception beside the claim
RTL+ describes Premium Werbefrei with exceptions for live TV/radio advertising, integrated commercial formats and some podcast material. A sponsor message or a scheduled channel break should therefore be identified separately from an on-demand platform interruption.
If advertising is the main reason for a plan change, compare the mode you actually watch with that current wording. The plan name alone is a shorter description than the complete feature conditions.
Audio benefits have their own rules
The Musik package adds services including Deezer and a described audiobook-credit allowance. Those are separate benefits from simply streaming a television episode. Read the current credit and billing-period conditions before assuming unused audio capacity accumulates.
For a household record, retain the package, current billing term and any linked partner benefit. An RTL+/HBO Max bundle is another offer with specific included tiers; it should not be used as evidence that every separate standalone product is attached.
Use the current German service and account terms for the final comparison. Availability and eligible registration markets have their own rules, so do not extend one country’s content or travel result to every account carrying the RTL+ name.
