VIZIO Home Screen: catalogue apps, favorites and external players

Start with the television catalogue

Open the Apps area on the TV and look for the exact player or service. Check the app identity and account requirements. A service appearing elsewhere on the web does not establish a VIZIO edition.

VIZIO’s public catalogue is a useful discovery reference, but the actual TV and regional offering matter. Do not turn a general catalogue count into a promise that one particular player is present on every model.

A Home Screen change is an organizational action

Adding an app makes it easier to open from Home Screen. Moving or removing that entry changes how the interface is organized. It does not, by itself, authorize a service account or cancel a subscription billed elsewhere.

Keep the platform interface, individual player and media provider separate. A built-in free service also does not activate an unrelated paid account. Read the chosen application’s own sign-in and purchase terms.

Use an alternative route only when supported

If an appropriate native player is absent, first establish whether the intended app and TV support a compatible casting route. Name the exact sender, receiver and protocol. A Cast or AirPlay capability should come from the model’s documentation and app, not a generic smart TV assumption.

Another option is a separately supported HDMI player. In that setup, the application runs on the external device and its OS determines installation. The VIZIO television displays the selected input.

Describe what is actually open

For help, provide the TV model, platform information and exact app. State whether you are in VIZIO Home Screen, casting or watching an HDMI source. That distinction determines which controls and account settings apply. Confirm Dream 4K access only for a player and route that support can identify for the actual setup.
