National and regional TVRI references
TVRI’s official digital destination identifies TVRI Nasional. The broadcaster’s public-information portal separately publishes material for regional stations, including Bengkulu, East Kalimantan, Papua and West Kalimantan. These examples establish a regional institutional structure.
For a national programme, TVRI Nasional may be the useful starting identity. For a locally focused bulletin or cultural programme, the station name and actual programme title are more informative. The national brand alone does not resolve the region.
A regional subject is not a complete language label
A programme’s location, cultural subject and spoken language are separate attributes. A provincial station reference should not be used to guess which local language, Indonesian narration or subtitle option is present in an episode.
A hypothetical household seeking a cultural programme from Papua should preserve the service and title, then specify whether the language itself is essential. Another household may want national news about the same region. The shared subject does not make those identical requests.
Place matters when interpreting the schedule
For a dated transmission, retain the station’s published time reference as well as the date. A national country category is not a sufficient clock reference for every region. If converting a programme time, use a current location-aware conversion for the actual date.
Do not correct a regional programme difference by applying an arbitrary guide offset. First compare the exact TVRI service and the programme shown. Different station schedules and a wrongly interpreted time are separate issues.
Use the broadcaster’s current identity
Regional public-information records help establish a station’s name, while a current programme schedule identifies the actual transmission. Neither by itself proves carriage through a separate subscription.
Preserve Indonesian programme titles where possible. If a family member remembers an English translation, keep it as an additional clue rather than replacing the official title. For serials, add an episode; for live events, add the fixture or event and date.
