Identify the purchase path
Ask which merchant bills the actual item. Google’s purchase-approval guidance states that its settings apply to purchases through Google Play’s billing system. Apple’s Ask to Buy applies to eligible family purchases under Apple’s documented conditions. Do not assume that a direct service order is covered by either control.
Use the parent’s official controls
Review the relevant family account and approval setting through the platform’s current guidance. Regional, account and software conditions can differ. Separate purchase and viewing decisions
Approving an app download or payment does not classify every source the app can display. Review the app’s own content controls and the household’s intended use separately.

Keep the outcome with the right record
Record a software purchase under the software identity, and a service order under its provider reference. Recheck the control if the family account or payment path changes.
