Check the developer identity, required system version and app purchases before downloading. The Android packages in the Dream download directory are not native iPhone applications.
An iPhone player and an Apple TV player can share a name while offering different controls or availability. Check each platform separately if you plan to use both.
Read the listing before the purchase
Apple’s download guidance distinguishes Get, a displayed price and Open. Get means there is no charge to download that app, though the app can offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. Open means it is already downloaded or acquired. None of these buttons confirms that a Dream 4K service account is included.
Look for the developer’s own explanation of activation and supported account methods. If support gives you a portal address but the player asks for separate server, username and password fields, ask for the matching setup rather than guessing how to split private details.
Use privacy information for a concrete decision
App Store privacy information and the iPhone’s permission prompts help explain the data an app requests. An app’s own statement and the device’s observed access report serve different roles. You can review permission categories under Privacy & Security.
For a player, check whether you need each optional feature. For example, a casting workflow may involve local-network discovery; that is different from allowing access to an entire photo library. Follow the developer’s documented purpose and the choices offered by the device.
Evaluate the way you will watch
Try the actual touch controls, orientation, audio selection and subtitle controls that matter to you. Available audio and caption tracks depend on the media source and player; system preferences cannot create missing tracks. If you plan to send video to a television, confirm that the player supports the chosen AirPlay or casting route.
Keep the app purchase, Apple Account and Dream 4K access details separate. A support request is clearer when it names the iPhone model, iOS version, exact player and the field or screen that needs attention.
