STRONG LEAP LIVE 420, also identified as SRT 420, combines a DVB-T2 free-to-air terrestrial receiver with a Google television app platform. An aerial channel and an internet stream can appear on the same screen while reaching the box by different routes.

The manufacturer’s current page contains different Android-version statements. Use the installed system information and the model’s current support instructions rather than assuming a fixed version from the product headline.

Two inputs solve different problems

ANTENNA IN receives the terrestrial broadcast signal from an appropriate aerial. LAN or Wi-Fi provides network access for streaming applications. HDMI sends the selected picture and sound to the television. Connecting one of these cables does not replace the others.

A terrestrial scan depends on local broadcast coverage and signal conditions. It does not sign in to an IPTV service, create a playlist or discover an internet provider’s account. Conversely, service credentials cannot repair a disconnected aerial.

Use the correct application side

For an internet player, follow the native Google app route documented for the installed platform. Check the developer and requirements for the exact application. STRONG’s own leaflet notes that third-party offerings can change, differ by region or require a separate subscription.

Do not infer Dream compatibility from the presence of a tuner or a general IPTV description. Confirm the player and supported account format. The device’s Google setup, a paid player activation and the provider login perform separate jobs.

Describe which route is failing

When requesting help, state whether the problem concerns an aerial channel, an installed app or the TV’s selected HDMI input. Include SRT 420 and the installed software version. This identifies the correct support layer before changing unrelated settings.

Use the exact model’s update instructions. A USB firmware file for another STRONG receiver is not an application installer for this one. Before any reset or firmware recovery, establish its effect on stored channel lists and app settings and keep the information needed to restore the intended setup.
