A household following a named local-language bulletin has a more specific need than a broad Zambian news category.
TV1 carries named language-bulletin references
ZNBC’s own programme information identifies local news on TV1 in Lozi, Nyanja, Bemba, Tonga, Luvale, Lunda and Kaonde. Those are bulletin-language references, not evidence that each language is a separate full-day television channel.
When language is central, preserve the actual edition or programme. A service’s multilingual purpose does not imply that every programme has selectable audio in all of its bulletin languages.
TV2 has a named breakfast programme
The broadcaster identifies Morning Live as a TV2 breakfast programme. That title is a useful reference for a viewer who wants a morning magazine rather than a short headline bulletin or a continuous-news service.
A programme title and a service name answer different questions. Retain both when available, with the date for a particular edition. An individual interview clip can identify a segment without being the whole breakfast programme.
Radio language services are a separate structure
ZNBC also describes Radio 1 through local-language programming and Radio 2 through English-language programming. Those audio services should not be mistaken for the numbered television services solely because the numbers are familiar.
A hypothetical household seeking spoken-language radio and a family member seeking TV1 news may have related linguistic interests but different media requirements. Keep television or radio visible in the saved reference.
Use programme-level details for access
For a local-language bulletin, include its language and date. For Morning Live, include the edition or interview subject. For sport, identify the competition, fixture and current announcement rather than treating the national broadcaster’s name as a rights guarantee.
The official programme and corporate information establish identity and editorial context. They do not establish another provider’s line-up, every episode’s subtitle options or a current event transmission without a dated reference.
