The current broadcaster’s own guide is the best reference for resolving those labels.
The current service family
STVR’s television page identifies Jednotka, Dvojka, 24 and Šport. Its institutional communications also use :24 and STVR Šport forms. Preserve the actual service rather than treating a punctuation difference as evidence of another channel.
The broadcaster announced a new visual identity for those television services in 2026. A familiar programme can therefore appear with changed graphics or institutional wording without becoming a different production.
Jednotka and Dvojka are brand names
The words identify services rather than universal remote-control positions. A guide elsewhere can assign different numbers while the service identity remains the same. Keep the original names when comparing programme references.
For a show, preserve the original Slovak title and episode. For news, keep the edition and date. For sport, specify the fixture rather than assuming the existence of Šport settles every event’s transmission.
Reception instructions apply to their stated route
STVR publishes separate reception guidance for antenna and satellite contexts. Technical requirements in those pages concern those distribution routes. They do not automatically establish the compatibility or encoding of another internet stream.
A household transferring an older favourites list should identify the current service and programme first. Changing a corporate label in a personal list is different from confirming access to the corresponding current transmission.
Resolve a historic reference with a current programme
An old RTVS-labelled note can be retained as a historical clue, but use STVR’s current programme guide to locate the title and service. This is especially useful if an episode is remembered through a presenter or series rather than a current logo.
A historical brand, a current service name and an external subscription’s line-up answer different questions. Keeping them separate makes the programme request clear without inventing new channels from every old label or visual variant.
