Television and radio identitiesKeep the programme’s original nameMayagüez is a station reference, not a presumed separate programme guaranteePRTV+ is a digital destinationPuerto Rico’s public broadcasting corporation identifies separate television and radio stations alongside its digital destination. A familiar programme title and the station name provide a stronger reference than a channel number alone.
Television and radio identities
WIPR’s institutional page identifies WIPR television and WIPM in Mayagüez, separately from WIPR 940 AM and Allegro 91.3 FM radio. Shared initials therefore do not establish the same media type.
A person asking for a television bulletin should preserve TV or the actual television service, while a music-listening request may concern Allegro radio. An AM or FM number should not be treated as an internet television position.
Keep the programme’s original name
The corporation’s programme destination lists titles including Notiséis, Un Buen Día, El Mediodía and Sábados sinfónicos. These distinguish news, daily programmes and performance interests more clearly than an undifferentiated Puerto Rican channel category.
For a recurring show, retain the edition or episode date. A short clip can identify a segment without being the complete programme. A historical programme page can also identify a title without establishing its current daily schedule.
Mayagüez is a station reference, not a presumed separate programme guarantee
The institutional description identifies WIPM with Mayagüez. Preserve that station name when it matters, but use the actual programme listing to establish which transmission is intended. A geographic station reference does not by itself prove that every hour differs from another station’s output.
A hypothetical household following a remembered western-Puerto-Rico station can keep WIPM as a clue while adding the programme and date. This is more precise than relying on a former receiver’s position.
PRTV+ is a digital destination
WIPR’s live destination also identifies PRTV+ alongside its television and radio brands. A grouped digital destination is different from one individual channel.
Keep the title, media type and desired format together. For a live event, use the current broadcaster announcement; for an archived performance, identify the released edition. These references do not establish an external subscription’s line-up, rights or matching replay features.
