SERTV television and radio referencesPublished statistics describe what was broadcastEducational purpose does not settle the audience or episodeUse the appropriate source for the taskSERTV’s public-media context includes television and radio brands, as well as published programme statistics. Those are useful reference sources, but they do not all answer the same viewing question.
SERTV television and radio references
SERTV’s official institutional material identifies its television context alongside Nacional FM, Crisol FM and national AM radio. Keep the media type in a request so a radio destination is not mistaken for a live television service.
For an educational programme, preserve the actual series and edition. The public broadcaster’s name can connect different services without making their programme schedules identical.
Published statistics describe what was broadcast
Panama’s official open-data portal identifies SERTV’s 2026 programme-broadcast dataset. SERTV also publishes monthly television statistics with categories such as educational/cultural international productions and children’s programming.
Those records describe measured output for a stated reporting period. They should not be read as the time of a future programme or proof that every item in a category is currently available on demand.
Educational purpose does not settle the audience or episode
A children’s programme, a classroom lesson and an adult cultural documentary can all fit a broad educational purpose. State the actual programme and audience need instead of assuming one category identifies the desired content.
A hypothetical family seeking a particular lesson needs its subject and level where supplied. A viewer choosing a cultural documentary needs the title and episode. The same public institution can support both without making them interchangeable.
Use the appropriate source for the task
A historical announcement can identify a production or project. An output report can establish that a programme category was broadcast. A current schedule establishes a transmission, while a released programme page identifies a viewing edition.
For a live event, preserve the date and announced service; for an older programme, preserve its original title and period. None of these institutional references establishes an unrelated subscription’s line-up, automatic replay function or rights to every production.
