Use the regulator’s current service list
Malta’s Broadcasting Authority lists TVM, TVM+ and TVMsport+ under Public Broadcasting Services. It separately lists other nationwide television broadcasters such as ONE. The regulator’s list establishes service and company identities, not a universal channel-number order.
Retain the full name, including the plus or sport suffix. A shortened TVM label can conceal which service a programme request actually concerns.
TVM News is also a newsroom reference
Malta’s government media directory identifies TVM NEWS as an electronic-news organization. A newsroom or portal name should not automatically be treated as the current name of every live television service.
This is particularly useful when a web search returns a written article beside a programme guide. The article can identify a story or newsroom without proving which live channel carries a particular bulletin at that moment.
Maltese and English references need programme-level clarity
The Maltese government’s public-authority description discusses PBS’s English-and-Maltese web presence. An English-language article is not therefore proof of English spoken audio for a television programme. Website language and programme language answer different questions.
A hypothetical viewer seeking a local cultural programme should preserve its original title and episode. Someone seeking an English news summary should identify that exact edition or destination rather than assuming every TVM-related result is the same format.
Operator positions are contextual
A Maltese operator can assign TVM and other services its own positions and viewing features. Those details apply to that platform. They do not establish the same order, replay options or channel availability elsewhere.
