PSM’s institutional service description names TVM, YES TV, Majlis TV and radio brands among its media references. The organization’s initials do not identify a single schedule.
Keep Television Maldives or the actual named service when following a programme. A radio destination such as Dhivehi FM should not be treated as television merely because it appears on the same institutional page.
Parliamentary and youth/sports purposes differ
PSM’s own reporting describes Majlis TV through parliament and parliamentary proceedings, while YES TV is associated with youth and sports. A public proceeding, sports discussion and complete live fixture are different viewing formats.
For a sitting or committee meeting, preserve the date and subject. For a match, preserve the competition, fixture and current broadcaster announcement. A specialist purpose does not establish rights to every event.
TVM and Maldives TV should not be collapsed
PSM’s institutional history distinguishes Television Maldives from the tourism-oriented Maldives TV project. Similar country words can therefore describe different media identities rather than spelling variants of one service.
A hypothetical household seeking a national news programme has a different purpose from someone choosing a tourism documentary. Keep the actual service and programme title instead of shortening both to Maldivian TV.
English news text does not establish every soundtrack
PSM has an English written-news destination alongside its broadcasting identities. An English article can identify a programme or event without establishing that its television soundtrack is English.
For a bulletin, retain the edition and spoken-language preference; for a series, retain the episode. Official brand and programme references establish identity, not an unrelated subscription’s line-up, every translated version or universal player features.
