The exact TV service and programme language are more useful than a broad Hong Kong category.
Use the current numbered television references
RTHK’s current television guide presents TV31, TV32, TV33, TV34 and TV35 separately from radio services. An older institutional document listing fewer services should not be treated as the current complete portfolio.
The number is part of the service identity. It is different from a position assigned by another guide, and it does not establish a programme’s language, genre or episode.
Programme editions can differ by language
RTHK’s television destination identifies Chinese- and English-version references in its programme information. Retain the actual edition when language is central, together with the exact television service rather than a generic Hong Kong label.
An English website interface does not turn every programme into an English-language production. Similarly, a translated title can help identify a series without establishing that the same translated version is present in another transmission.
RTHK Screen is a digital destination
RTHK’s own FAQ describes Screen as bringing its television services to mobile media. The application and an individual channel are different levels of reference. A programme tile can identify an item without establishing what is currently playing on every service.
A hypothetical household following an English edition and a Chinese-language cultural programme should preserve both titles and editions. A single Hong Kong label loses the feature that distinguishes the viewing need.
Keep television and radio legible
RTHK’s guide also lists radio services alongside television. A familiar institutional name or programme subject can therefore lead to audio rather than video. State the media type when it matters.
For a live programme, retain the exact TV service, date and printed time reference. For a series, retain the episode. Official RTHK material establishes its own service context, not an external subscription’s inventory, language tracks or interactive features.
