Costa Rican television: Canal Trece, news editions and local features

SINART’s television and radio services share an institutional destination, while Canal Trece carries distinct news editions and local features. A programme title helps.

SINART’s television and radio services share an institutional destination, while Canal Trece carries distinct news editions and local features. A programme title helps preserve the viewing purpose better than a bare channel number.

Canal Trece and Radio Nacional are different media

SINART’s official service information separately names Canal Trece and Radio Nacional de Costa Rica, alongside its digital destinations. A shared corporate page does not make a radio station and television service one schedule.

Keep the television name when asking for a bulletin or feature. A radio frequency belongs to its reception context and should not be treated as a universal channel position inside another guide.

Trece Noticias has named editions

The broadcaster’s current programme destination identifies Trece Noticias – Edición Meridiana. Preserve that edition when it is the programme wanted. A midday bulletin, a later headline edition and a single report can cover the same story while presenting different material.

For a particular item, retain its date and subject; for a full bulletin, retain the complete edition. A written article is useful to identify a story but is not automatically the full television programme.

Su Lado Positivo supplies a local-feature context

SINART’s programme pages also identify Su Lado Positivo, with local community and cultural subjects. That is a different viewing interest from continuous news or an undifferentiated entertainment channel.

A hypothetical viewer interested in a feature about Dota should preserve the programme title and item subject. Someone seeking national headlines has a different reference. The Costa Rican country connection can matter to both without making the programmes interchangeable.

Use current dates rather than a fixed number

The word Trece is a service identity. Another provider can assign the service a different position, so keep the name with the programme rather than relying on an old remote-control number.

For a recurring feature, add the episode or publication date. For sport or a public ceremony, add the specific event and current announcement. These details establish content identity without asserting carriage, rights or matching digital features through an external subscription.
