CRTV and CRTV News are distinct services
CRTV describes its main television channel with a general-audience public-service purpose covering information, education and entertainment. It separately describes CRTV News as a continuous-news service with live bulletins, special editions and current-affairs magazines.
A familiar corporate logo therefore does not identify the format by itself. Someone seeking a general entertainment programme and someone wanting rolling news should preserve the complete service name.
A named programme is more precise than the organization
The official live page identifies Scènes de Presse within the general CRTV context. That title is a useful programme reference, distinct from a generic request for Cameroonian news. A discussion programme, a headline bulletin and a continuous-news channel answer different viewing needs.
For a recurring show, retain the edition date. A segment published as a clip can identify a contribution without being the complete programme or the live transmission.
English and French web material need careful interpretation
CRTV’s current news destination includes English-language items alongside French material, while its general-service description is presented in both languages. The language of an article or institutional description should not be used as proof of the spoken language of every television programme.
If a viewer needs a particular programme language, specify it with the exact title or bulletin edition. A hypothetical household can follow a French discussion and an English news item without assuming every service has selectable audio in both languages.
