Find the English television routeRead the guide’s time basisUse a channel record and a programme recordDW’s English television schedule is one way into Deutsche Welle’s news, documentaries and magazine programmes. Its multilingual website also offers individual articles, audio and videos. Selecting an English web page and selecting the English continuous television channel are related but different actions.
Find the English television route
DW’s official weekly guide provides current English-TV schedules and navigation towards Live TV and reception information. Use that route when you want the scheduled channel. If you want a specific documentary or news report, retain its individual title and page instead.
A hypothetical viewer may follow a documentary recommendation from search and reach a video page. That page is useful for the selected film, while the weekly guide answers when it is scheduled on television. Do not use one as proof of the other’s current playback availability.
Read the guide’s time basis
The current monthly English-TV guide states that its times use UTC/GMT. Keep that label with a programme time when copying it into a reminder. Converting only the clock and forgetting the date can make a late-evening broadcast appear on the wrong local day.
The guide also distinguishes first broadcasts and warns that programming can change. A printed schedule is useful planning information, but a breaking-news channel may adjust its programme order. Recheck the current guide near the intended viewing time.
Use a channel record and a programme record
For a household list, label the continuous service “DW English”. For an individual programme, record its title, episode or subject, source date and whether the link is a scheduled broadcast or a selected video. That preserves the purpose of each entry.
For example, a hypothetical viewer planning a science magazine could note the UTC broadcast time and the converted local time with the local date. If an individual episode is available separately, store that link as another option rather than imply the channel can always restart any programme.
When reception needs to change, follow DW’s current official reception route and the actual television provider’s listing. The existence of an English programme guide does not establish a particular local provider, picture format or replay feature.
