Missing a Fubo recording? Check the profile, date and deletion first

Use Fubo’s US Cloud DVR rules to distinguish a hidden profile recording from expiry, deletion or another on-demand offer.

A Fubo recording can appear missing because it belongs to another profile, has expired or was deleted. Start with those documented possibilities before changing the subscription or reinstalling the player. This guide uses the current US Cloud DVR documentation.

Identify the exact captured programme

Write down the programme or event, airing date and the profile used when recording was scheduled. If several airings have similar names, preserve the network and episode details too. A search result for the series is not proof that the specific recording still exists.

A hypothetical household may record a match under one person’s profile and later look for it under another. That is the first useful distinction to resolve, because it changes the visible collection without requiring a new subscription.

Check the profile that scheduled it

Fubo’s DVR guide says recordings are accessed through the profile that initiated them. Switch to that profile and inspect My Stuff. If you are unsure, check with the household member who scheduled the item and look through the relevant profiles.

Do this before deleting, rescheduling or modifying account settings. A second copy, where a later airing exists, would be a new recording decision rather than evidence that the original was never made.

Check age and deletion separately

Fubo’s US help says Cloud DVR recordings expire after nine months. The service can offer unlimited storage while still imposing that retention window. “Unlimited” describes capacity, not indefinite preservation.

If the item is recent, check whether someone with account access deleted it. Keep that question neutral and specific. A missing title can be explained by ordinary library management rather than a broader service failure.

PossibilityEvidence to inspect
Different profileWhich profile scheduled the recording
ExpiryThe original airing/recording date
DeletionWhether an account user removed the item
Another viewing routeCurrent Lookback or on-demand availability
Recording restrictionWhether the event/channel offered a Record action

Treat Lookback as a separate option

Fubo’s missing-recording help suggests checking current Lookback availability for recently aired programmes. That is an alternative viewing route, not restoration of the original saved recording. Confirm the exact programme and current availability before relying on it.

A hypothetical viewer who finds a recent match through on-demand browsing should label that result separately. It may help with watching the event, while the question of why the DVR item was absent still concerns profile, retention or deletion.

Escalate with the useful facts

If those checks do not explain the result, report the title, airing, recording profile, date and what appears in My Stuff. Include the exact device and message if playback fails after the item is found. Distinguish “not listed” from “listed but will not play”; that keeps the support investigation focused and avoids repeating irrelevant account changes.
